Eric reflects upon Jesus' rebuke of St. Peter at Caesarea Philippi and the corresponding invitation to die to oneself out of love for Christ and the Gospel (Mk 8:27-35) in speaking about the courage to take healthy risks and being loved in the context of a community of authentic love and fellowship.
As a key example, Fr. Eric refers to a live performance of the song "Someone You Loved" by Lewis Capaldi in the context of a concert at Glastonbury in 2023. Fr. Eric also cites various examples during the testimony period at the GT retreat that was held during the Labour Day weekend in 2024.
